The Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation is a non-profit public charity that is dedicated to supporting the Lake Tahoe region – now and into the future. We are building a more prosperous community by providing community leadership on emerging issues, by partnering with donors to make their charitable giving meaningful, and by supporting quality programs provided by local non-profit organizations.

The UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center (TERC) has been serving the Lake Tahoe and Truckee region with important research and outreach on environmental issues since 1968. Dr. Charles R. Goldman led these early efforts and through his outreach increased community awareness of the steady loss of water clarity in Lake Tahoe. TERC is dedicated to research, education and public outreach on lakes and their surrounding watersheds and airsheds.
From its birth in 1874, the University of Nevada, Reno has come a long way. The state’s flagship institution has excelled in teaching, research and outreach and is poised to continue as a light of learning and knowledge in northern Nevada and throughout the world.
Nestled high in the Sierra, along the shores of Lake Tahoe, the Incline Village Library serves a diverse community of local and visiting patrons. With a collection of over 47,000 items, including books, videos, DVDs, audio-books, music CDs, CD-ROMs and magazines, this medium-sized library strives to offer a wealth of materials for all ages.
The Incline Village General Improvement District, commonly referred to as IVGID, is a quasi-public agency chartered to provide water, sewer, trash and recreation services for the communities of Incline Village and Crystal Bay, Nevada. It is governed by an elected Board of Trustees. The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (or TRPA) was formed in 1969 through a bi-state compact between California and Nevada which was ratified by the U.S. Congress. The agency is mandated to protect the environment of the Lake Tahoe Basin through land-use regulations and is one of only a few watershed-based regulatory agencies in the United States.
